Break the Gridlock is dedicated to supporting a vibrant network of grass roots activists and advocates who work together to reduce America's dependency on the private automobile by encouraging the use of the right transportation solutions. On the opening night of the Chicago Auto Show, Break the Gridlock is hosting a Show & Tell night for cycling advocacy groups to share knowledge and network.

Revenge of the Crash Test Dummies!
Main entrance of McCormick Place South, 1:00 pm
Cyclists Mass Up at Daley Plaza High Noon
A diverse coalition of cyclists, pedestrians, transit activists, and other citizens advocating for responsible transportation will assemble at 1:00 pm, at the main entrance of McCormick Place South on King Drive, just south of Cermak Road, for a peaceful demonstration and celebration of car culture alternatives. Cyclists will meet at Daley Plaza in downtown Chicago at 12 noon for a bike parade to the SHUTDOWN Festival site.

Pedestrian Hell – open rant night
At Efebos Café, 1640 S. Blue Island Ave., 6:30 pm
Come to discuss Pedestrian Topics such as Public Transit, Car-Sharing, Bicycling – you can rant a little bit if it helps you feel better, share information and ideas, and try some of Efebos' delicious food.
Show continues through March 6.

Chicago Critical Mass Art Show Closing Party
Mass Up at Daley Plaza, 5:30 pm
The conclusion of 2 months of Bike Art & Activism will have us departing from the Picasso to end our ride at the Closing Party of the Critical Mass Art Show. We will be moving the show from Mercury Cafe to a special venue, so you have to show up for the Critical Mass ride to get in on the party.
